A winter Storm will continue to impact the Southern Plains to the Southeast, and to the Northeast into tonight. Snow packed and icy roads are creating hazardous travel conditions, and unusually cold temperatures and gusty winds are bringing chilly conditions into the farthest southern locations. Out west, a series of weather systems will bring heavy rain, mountain snows, and gusty winds.

Synopsis: Low pressure with its attendant frontal system will move off the East Coast tonight. High pressure will build across the Gulf coast through the end of the week, then offshore over the weekend, bringing fair weather to the mid-Atlantic region. Low pressure is forecast to develop over the central U.S. on Monday. This low will move northeast through the Great Lakes Monday night into Tuesday, pulling a cold front across the mid-Atlantic area on Tuesday.
