Expanding Heat Wave; Locally Heavy Rain Shifts to Northeast

Oppressive temperatures and dangerous heat indices continue across the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley, especially in Texas. The Excessive Heat expands to the Southwest, California and parts of Oregon starting Monday.
