TODAY. A COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND CROSSES THE
WATERS LATE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM
THE WEST ON WEDNESDAY, THEN A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS SOUTH OF
LONG ISLAND THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT. HIGH PRESSURE RETURNS ON
FRIDAY.
Today: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming NNW 5 to 9 kt in the afternoon. Periods of rain. Seas 1 ft or less.
Tonight: NNW wind 9 to 12 kt increasing to 13 to 16 kt after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 22 kt. Periods of rain, mainly before 1am. Seas 1 to 2 ft.
Friday: NW wind 15 to 17 kt, with gusts as high as 26 kt. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. Seas around 2 ft.
Friday Night: WNW wind 14 to 17 kt, with gusts as high as 26 kt. Mostly clear. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
Saturday: W wind 10 to 14 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. Sunny. Seas 2 to 3 ft.
Saturday Night: W wind 5 to 9 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt after midnight. Mostly cloudy. Seas 1 ft or less.
Sunday: WNW wind 5 to 8 kt increasing to 10 to 13 kt in the afternoon. Mostly sunny. Seas around 1 ft.
Sunday Night: WNW wind 9 to 13 kt becoming NNW after midnight. Partly cloudy. Seas around 1 ft.
