A slow moving low pressure center will continue to produce heavy rain and gusty winds for the Middle Atlantic, and will move into the Northeast. Isolated severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and large hail for areas in northwestern Texas and southeastern Florida. Very warm temperatures continue across the west. Very warm temperatures spread into the central U.S. later this week.

High pressure shifts east into the Atlantic today, while low pressure
develops over the Carolina coast, moving northward toward New England
on Wednesday. As the low moves through northern New England on
Thursday it will send a cold front eastward across the Gulf of Maine
with high pressure building behind it through Friday morning. The
next low may track up the East Coast and toward the Gulf of Maine as
early as Friday night with a stronger cold front arriving on
Saturday.
